Cricket Peru appoints Women’s Cricket Officer

Cricket Peru is delighted to welcome Juliet Solomon to the role of Women’s Cricket Officer. This is the first time the Cricket Peru Executive Committee has had such a position, with the remit to develop female participation in cricket at both junior and adult level, and reflects an expansion of the woman’s game worldwide.
Juliet, originally from Trinidad, was an obvious fit for the role, as she is already heavily involved in scoring for the men’s domestic season in Lima, and ran for the position unopposed at the Cricket Peru AGM, held on Weds, Sept 15th at Lima Cricket & Football Club.
We wish her all the best as she sets about raising the profile of women’s cricket in Peru from its underdeveloped state.
