Rodriguez will be part of the ‘CanAm United’ team for the event, which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, from 23 to 25 May this year.

She has achieved this milestone at just fifteen years of age.

The tournament will be conducted in a round-robin format between six participating teams.

In order to raise money to attend the tournament, Rodriguez worked part-time coaching junior cricket, and helped produce a promotional video for the game in Peru.

She also launched an online fundraising campaign - gaining $1,500 in donations, and a great many messages of support.

Unquestionably one of Cricket Peru’s finest talents, Rodriguez first represented Peru at just 11, as part of the Vicuñas squad for the 2011 Women´s South American Championships in Brasilia, Brazil.

She went home with the ‘Revelacion de Cricket’ trophy for best up-and-comer.

Rodriguez went on to don the red and white at the 2013 South American U13 Championships in Pocos de Caldas, Brazil - the only female player in the tournament.

The young quick also played an important role for the Vicuñas at the 2014 Women’s South American Championships in Lima, Peru.

We will be following Jade’s tour closely, will post updates as they happen, and wish her nothing but the best of luck.
