Development Volunteer

Cricket Peru is looking for fearless, pro-active candidates to drive the game of cricket forward in a fledgling ICC Affiliate nation.

This job is ideal for a cricket enthusiast looking for a challenging, immersion experience in a dynamic Latin American culture, with a chance to experience all elements of the ICC Development Programme at the grass-roots level. It will not make you rich financially, but will be life-changing.

Reporting to:

• Cricket Peru Committee

Responsible for:

• National Cricket Development
• Day-to-day Bookkeeping

Skills Required:

• Strong management & administration skills
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Fully bilingual (Spanish & English); both written and spoken
• Demonstrated experience administering & coordinating projects/programmes
• Ability to self-manage and self-motivate

Key Responsibilities to include some of the following:

• Manage all development responsibilities of CRICKET PERU and develop systems and procedures to improve its operating quality and efficiency
• Drive CRICKET PERU to becoming a Federation within Instituto Peruano del Deporte
• Manage all Junior and Senior tours, incoming and outgoing
• Manage and organise all national tournaments
• Manage the CRICKET PERU accounts, reporting to the Treasurer
• Manage the CRICKET PERU website & database
• Coaching, juniors & adults
• Develop sponsorship & marketing opportunities
• Manage all CRICKET PERU equipment & facilities

Other Requirements:

• Based in Lima (with availability to travel to the regions)
• A strong passion for cricket

Length of Contract:

• Minimum 6 months

Other Information:

• Part time job (minimum 25 hour working week) initially
