Welcome to the award-winning, official website of Cricket Peru containing everything you need to know about cricket in, for and against Peru.

Cricket has been played in Peru for over 150 years, at the splendid Lima Cricket & Football Club, and is now undergoing resurgence as a recently-admitted Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and a founder member of Cricket South America, along with Argentina, Brazil and Chile.

We currently boast:

  • A long-established outdoor season running from January to April which includes:
    • A thriving domestic Twenty20 Competition
    • Numerous ‘friendly’ matches, ideal for the occasional cricketer to hone his skills
    • Visits by touring teams, keen to enjoy Lima’s hospitality and Peru’s tourist attractions
  • Schools Cricket :
    • Both boys and girls from age 9 upwards
    • A new cricket facility at Cambridge School, Chorrillos
    • A new artificial pitch and net at Markham College, Miraflores

  • AGM 2012 Celebrates Hugely Successful Season:On Wednesday, 7th November, Cricket Peru held its Annual General Meeting & Awards Ceremony at Lima Cricket Club. The event was well-attended, enticed by the prospect of fish & chips and a good-humoured analysis of what has been widely-deemed as the most successful season in living memory. The evening even featured a poetry-recital by Cricket Peru’s Development Officer, Nicholas Barsby, entitled ‘Ode to a Cabbage Patch’ (a reference to the somewhat spongy nature of the Lima Cricket Club wicket, I believe):
  • Veteran Coach Praises Junior Team on Success:After a highly successful Cricket South America Under-13 Championships in Santiago, co-coach John Bell reflects on the achievements of the Cricket Peru team and their support: ‘It is now a week since we went to Chile and participated in the U13 championship and my turn to reflect upon the excitement and our achievements; adding a hearty “hear hear” to the many mails sent since our return.
