Cricket South America Under 17 Championship, Poços de Caldas, 2016

The Under 17’s Peruvian Cricket Team competed for the second time in the South American Cricket Championships. This tournament was held in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, Brazil on Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of October, 2016.

Day 1 – Friday, 7th October
Venue: Poços de Caldas, Belo Horizonte, Brazil

  • Argentina (269 for 2) defeated Peru (99 for 7) by 170 runs.
  • Peru (96 all out) lost to Brazil (97 for 0) by 10 wickets.
  • Argentina (205 for 6) defeated Brazil (150 for 6) by 55 runs.  

Day 2 – Saturday, 8th October: 
Venue: Poços de Caldas, Belo Horizonte, Brazil

  • Peru (79 for 6) lost to Brazil (80 for 0) by 10 wickets.
  • Argentina (196 for 6) defeated Brazil (121 all out) by 75 runs. 
  • Peru (146 for 7) lost to Argentina (147 for 3) by 7 wickets.  

Day 3 – Sunday, 9th October:
Venue: Poços de Caldas, Belo Horizonte, Brazil

  • Final: Brazil (53 all out) lost to Argentina (54 for 5) by 5 wickets. 

Winners: Argentina
