12th South American Championship, Santiago, 2015

The 12th South American Championship took place in Santiago de Chile from October 9th – 12th, at Cencosud Sports Fields (formerly Craighouse). It was held in conjunction with the Women’s South American Championship, at the same venue, for the first time.

Day 1: Fri, 9th Oct: 

  • Brazil (119 for 8) lost to Argentina (121 for 3 in 15.5 overs) by 7 wickets.
  • Colombia (177 for 5) defeated Peru (119 for 7) by 58 runs.
  • Peru (119 for 9) lost to Brazil (122 for 5 in 16.2 overs) by 5 wickets.
  • Mexico (99 all out in 15.4 overs) lost to Chile (100 for 4 in 16.4 overs) by 6 wickets.

Day 2: Sat, 10th Oct: 

  • Chile (92 all out) defeated Argentina (77 all out in 15 overs) by 15 runs.
  • Peru (132 for 7) lost to Mexico (134 for 4 in 18.3 overs) by 6 wickets.
  • Brazil (147 for 6) defeated Chile (115 for 8) by 32 runs.
  • Argentina (156 for 6) defeated Colombia (136 for 7) by 20 runs.

Day 3: Sun, 11th Oct: 

  • Colombia (121 for 6) tied with Mexico (121 for 8). Colombia won the Super Over.
  • Peru (148 for 9) lost to Argentina (149 for 4 in 16.1 overs) by 6 wickets.
  • Chile (137 for 9) defeated Colombia (130 all out in 19.3 overs) by 7 runs.
  • Brazil (181 for 3) defeated Mexico (134 all out in 19.1 overs) by 47 runs.

Day 4: Mon, 12th Oct: 

  • Mexico (76 all out) lost to Argentina (81 for 1 in 6.5 overs) by 9 wickets.
  • Colombia (97 for 7) lost to Brazil (98 for 6 in 16.5 overs) by 4 wickets.
  • Chile (134 for 8) defeated Peru (70 all out in 15.5 overs) by 64 runs.

Final: Brazil (135 for 6) lost to Argentina (137 for 2 in 14.2 overs) by 8 wickets.
